I am very proud to be a candidate for the responsibilities of Central Division Governor for Toastmasters District 66. The 2008-2009 leadership year in Toastmasters promises to be a very exciting year and I will work very hard on behalf of all Toastmasters in District 66 to help assure the success of our members and to grow both the Central Division and District 66 as a whole.

I am well known as a promoter of Toastmasters and have worked hand in hand with many of our fellow members to achieve many goals and to complete many projects-- but I want to do even more!

I have the privilege of serving as President of Bon Air Toastmasters and as the District 66 Webmaster for 2007-2008. I am also a member of West Creek Toastmasters and Galloping Gourmet Toastmasters. Since I began work to be a founder of Bon Air Toastmasters, I have helped my fellow members exel and have managed to earn my ACS and ALB awards in less than a year and a half. I take this seriously and want to do more to spread the word and the success that Toastmasters brings its members.

Among my specific plans, I will be hosting monthly Division Executive Council dinners to include my Lieutenant Divisional Governors, Area Governors, Club Presidents and Club Vice Presidents Education. The dinners will serve as a training venue, fellowship venue and a place where we can all work together for the benefit of all Toastmasters. We have the experts in our division, we have the motivated volunteers in our division, let's get busy!

My goal is to double membership numbers in the Central Division in a single year! Lofty goal, to be sure, but extremely achievable since my plans include an aggressive Public Relations campaign, marketing efforts and extensive promotion through partner organizations.

More funds means more resources to serve the members! My plan calls for reaching out to corporate sponsors to gain donations to support the educational activities of Toastmasters to the benefit of existing and potential members.
